WGM: Getting ripped with RG, Kiara's Debut Raw Vegan

Did you know that all the grains used to feed the livestock could feed a population of 8 billion people, and could solve the world's starvation problem? Lowering meat consumption or going vegetarian/vegan could solve so many health problems we have in this country, especially the obesity epidemic. Did you also know that the San Joaquin Valley ranks as one of the most polluted areas in the whole country not only due to the major freeways/highways that run through it, but also do to the methane gas the many cows release when they fart? Pretty gross if you ask me. From all the knowledge I have gained thus far from my formal education and from other very knowledgeable educated people in the health care industry, I am happy that I am a vegetarian not only for health benefits but for the beneficence of myself and the future populations of this world. Knowledge is power. Do research. Talk to people. Read a book. Many of the increases in diseases in this country are mainly due to th! e food that we consume. Chronic diseases begin formatting in your early 20's, many people wont see the effects of their choices till later on in life. As for my self, I plan on taking care of my body. The choice is yours. Read labels of processed foods you eat that come in packages. Most of the chemical preservatives and artificial ingredients Ive made in my chemistry labs (before studying nursing I was a Chemistry major). Boy have those chemistry classes opened my eyes... -Claudia CGB Galan ...

Science Bulletins: Infant Stars Shimmer in Orion's Nebula

Sometimes two telescopes are better than one. Data gathered by the European Space Agency's Herschel Space Observatory and NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope have provided astronomers with an extraordinary view of young stars' growing pains. Combining two types of infrared vision revealed previously undetected bursts of stellar activity, with much faster cycles of heating and cooling than expected. The observations provide important data, which will help astronomers more fully understand the stages of developing stars. Science Bulletins is a production of the National Center for Science Literacy, Education, and Technology (NCSLET), part of the Department of Education at the American Museum of Natural History. Jerzey Street Band: Mama's Conservatory Sessions - Another

Dave Wrobel wears his influences on his sleeve next to his heart. The dream was to create 'the sound of Americana' but far away from those old colonial shores. Described as 'Freight Train Rock' or 'West Coast meets UK Rock', Dave's love of Country, Blues, Folk, and Rock & Roll soon drew other like minded musicians to him and fuelled the birth of Alternative Freight Train Rockers Jerzey Street Band. Influences include Counting Crows, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan and Tom Petty. The story began in 2006 when college friends Dave Wrobel and drummer Mike Weaver met with Dave's brother Neil, a guitarist looking to make his mark on the scene, and started rehearsing on Jerzey Street in Manchester. They tried, tested and played shows with a number of musicians until eventually landing guitarist Roger Crombie, Steve Priest on keys and piano, pedal steel player 'Country' Keith Ashworth and bass player Rhys Thomas. A run of credible supports and high profile gigs have played a large roll! from the beginning; Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes, Alabama 3, Sandi Thom and Jon Allen have proved as a springboard to public acclaim and a key component in completing the apprenticeship. They had found their sound which some have described as 'a searching soundscape of Eagles, Skynyrd, Springsteen and very Dylanesque with a hint of Van Morrison and the Rolling Stones. Students and local radio were charmed, drawn into this web of explosive aural delight. The fuse was lit. The touch paper ...

Cruiserweights - The Extra Lens

John Darnielle at his finest. Gorgeous lyrics support my thesis that the most beautiful songs about places are written about Ohio. Cruiserweights - Nobody of note is in the crowd Guys in Bermuda shorts are chewing on cigar stubs I get better as I get more worn-down Houselights like an amplified inferno PA system borrowed from the high school Breathe through my mouthpiece I hate this town And there's a whole long list of other things I hate I had to starve myself all week to make weight Cleveland Ohio 1985 Almost out of the woods Awake and alive Bucket full of blood and dirty water Voices screaming at me from my corner Head for the clutches When I need to buy time Take a couple of shots right to the liver Then remember what the food was like in prison Stick to the game plan Stall for time And there's a whole long list of other things to do And the best ones I won't probably get around to Cleveland Ohio, 1985 Almost out of the woods Awake and alive

Children of Bodom - Towards Dead End - live at wacken

Children of Bodom - Towards Dead End Children of Bodom is a Finnish heavy metal band from Espoo, formed in 1993. The band consists of guitarist and vocalist Alexi Laiho (vocals/lead guitar), Roope Latvala (guitar), Janne Wirman (keyboards), Henkka Seppälä (bass), and Jaska Raatikainen (drums). Since their inception, Children of Bodom has released six studio albums, two live albums, two EPs, and one DVD.
